Ferrari and Apple announced a collaboration

Ferrari, the Italian manufacturer of luxury sports cars, and the well-known California company Apple have announced today that they intend to work closely in the future and create a car equipped with cutting edge technology.

This news came from Geneva, where an automobile exhibition is being held. It was there that Ferrari presented its new creation: the stunning LaFerrari, in which journalists noticed Apple's built-in iPad Mini.

Representatives of the American company have already said that their cooperation with an Italian partner simply must be fruitful.

“After we change the way we communicate, we need to change the way we drive.”

Ferrari CEO Luca Cordero di Montezemolo, in a recent interview, earlier revealed future plans for device and machine manufacturers. “We are in close negotiations regarding new tools and ways to bring some entertainment directly into the car itself. Despite the fact that di Montezemolo refused to add anything to the above, he assured that in the near future the details of the collaboration between Apple and Ferrari will become known.

The Italian manufacturer does not hide his intentions to integrate the iPad into the back of the front seats in four-seater models so that passengers do not get bored during the trip, taking advantage of all the services, services and other features of the gadget. Moreover, Ferrari also plans to equip its sports cars with the new Eyes Free system (similar to Siri), which will allow the driver to control the on-board system of the car only at a voice level.

For the first time, a possible collaboration between American digging and Ferrari was talked about last year, when di Montezemolo met with Apple CEO Tim Cook. A few months later, after a dialogue between representatives of the two leaders, Apple's vice president of software entered the board of directors of the Italian machine manufacturer. It is worth noting that the new employee of the company has repeatedly stated that he is an ardent fan of luxury Ferrari sports cars, therefore, apparently, he set to work with special zeal. By the way, the former vice president of software was closely involved in the Siri service, which is planned to be integrated into the new Ferrari models.

The decision of the Italian automaker was made to some extent due to the similarity of corporate strategies of companies, their management style and commitment to perfect design. After meeting with Cook di Montezemolo noted that talking with Jobs's receiver gave him a lot of pleasure:

“I was pleasantly struck by Tim's friendliness and openness. We create cars, and their company is computers. However, Apple and Ferrari share the same passion, love for their products, as well as attention to the latest technology and design. ”

Over the years, the tech manufacturer from Cupertino has sought to spread its influence by introducing products into automobiles. However, until now, Apple has not created a gadget that could be used only for a long time. Such ideas and moods in the company appeared thanks to its creator, Steve Jobs, who, as it turned out recently, dreamed of creating an Apple-bill.
