Italy has become a leader in the number of plastic surgeries of various spectra, from suspenders to breast augmentation.

Despite the fact that nature gave Italians a very outstanding and pleasant appearance, many of them resort to the services of plastic surgeons. World celebrities of Italian origin are no exception. The Spaniards also got on the list (seventh place in the world ranking (213,297 operations)).

The Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery has discovered that eye surgery was the most popular procedure among Italians. Italian surgeons performed this type of braces, which takes an average of about two hours in time, more than 27 thousand times last year. In second place were breast augmentation surgery. More than 26 thousand patients fell under the knife of eight hundred plastic surgeons. It is worth noting that this type of surgery is the most common in Italy.

Another well-known procedure - liposuction - removal of excess fat - was carried out in Italy 16,328 times last year. Hair transplantation, which gained popularity in Italy after the country's ex-prime minister Silvio Berlusconi admitted that he had also undergone it, in 2013, only 1224 patients and patients applied.

According to last year's similar report of the Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, in 2012, around 15 million plastic surgeries were performed in the world.
