The Italian nun gave birth to a son and named him after Pope Francis

A young nun from a monastery in Rieti was taken to an emergency hospital complaining of severe pain in her lower abdomen. The woman could not explain why she was suffering so much. What was the surprise of the doctors when they determined that the 32-year-old nun ... gives birth!

According to doctors, the novice of the Rieti monastery gave birth to an absolutely healthy baby weighing 3.5 kilograms, which she named in honor of Pope Francis. The identity of the father of the child is still unknown.

Last year, a nun from El Salvador traveled to her native land. After the woman returned from her journey, she became much more withdrawn and spent most of her time in prayer. She did not tell anyone how she spent time at home and who she met there. The nun gave the newborn her last name, and who his father is she does not recognize. The woman generally assures: she had no idea that she was in an interesting position.

Other ministers of the monastery, among whom is the sister of a young mother, are extremely surprised by the latest news: they could not even assume that one of them was pregnant.

The pastor of the monastery, don Fabrizio Borello (Fabrizio Borelo), says that the newly-made mother will assume all the necessary responsibilities for the care of little Francis. Borrello does not even hide in what shock the entire commune of 40 thousand people is.

“As I understand it, the nun will take care of the baby. I think she is telling the truth about ignorance about her pregnancy. This only confirms the extreme simplicity of her character. ”

The pastor told reporters that the other novices could not recover from what had happened. This story passes from mouth to mouth, and it will continue for a very long time.

Not so long ago it became known that the nun will leave her haven. However, the Vatican promised that at first the woman would receive all the necessary help and support from the Catholic Church. The elder sister of the monastery says that nothing really happened. But the fact that a woman lied to everyone about her condition will not allow her to return to the fold of the church. Other novices of the Rieti monastery refuse to comment at all. All that is known is that they believe that their sister could not resist the temptation.

Pope Francis, by whose name the newborn was named, has repeatedly claimed that he is an opponent of abortion.

So, last week, the pontiff said that abortion is nothing more than a “terrifying symptom of a“ culture of rejection ”that destroys the full value of existence.

As you know, Pope Francis is not only a man of his word, but also a man of action. Not so long ago, the press got the story of how the head of the Catholic Church contacted a woman who refused an abortion and suggested that she personally baptize her baby.

Earlier, a 35-year-old Italian woman wrote a letter to the pontiff, telling him about her difficult situation. The woman became pregnant from a married man who, after learning about the interesting situation of his mistress, demanded that she have an abortion. But the future mother flatly refused such a “proposal” and ordered the married man to get out of her life. She did not even hope for the Pope's answer, so she was extremely surprised when the bell rang from the Vatican. Francis decided to personally contact the woman in order to express her support. He also promised the moved Italian to baptize her baby. The woman told reporters that if Dad actually keeps his word, then she will name her little son in his honor.
